Our vetting procedure

Saints Construction Trades works in partnership with the vast majority of the major Companies in the UK Commercial and Domestic Construction market as a trusted and reliable supplier of Permanent, Contract and Temporary construction specialists. One of the main reasons Saints’ personnel are so well respected and trusted within the industry is because of our stringent, industry leading vetting procedures.

Stage 1: In depth telephone interview

To begin we conduct an in-depth telephone interview to assess background, work history, attitude to work, integrity and motivation. We also explore their main skills and preferences and their access to the requisite tools, transport, and PPE where necessary.

Stage 2: Skills test and assessment

Next we ask our personnel to undergo a skills assessment test which ensures that the skills they claim to have are legitimate and up to date with any legislative changes.

Stage 3: Qualifications verification

At stage three we then ensure we receive copies of all of our Personnel's qualifications. We then contact the issuers directly to verify the validity of the certificates we have received and to ensure the personnels’ registrations are legitimate.

Stage 4: UK Employment and CRB checks to assure suitability

We then have to verify an personnel's eligibility to work in the UK and also that they are working legally with the necessary Public Liability cover, Certificate of Incorporation (where applicable), and on certain contracts are CRB checked and signatories to the Official Secrets Act.

Stage 5: Two relevant references

Finally, once we are satisfied with an personnel’s background, skills, certification and eligibility, we take up two references from their most recent employer or contract manager. Both of these references must be satisfactory if the personnel is to be engaged.

This is not an exhaustive list of the Gas Engineers that we can source. If you are interested in hiring, or are skilled in, an area that is not listed above, please contact us direct and we will endeavour to assist you.
